CDL Training in Texas: Cost, Schools and First-Year Pay (2026)

Texas is one of the biggest trucking states in the country, with major freight lanes through Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio and heavy port and border traffic.

For training itself, Texas follows the national pattern we see across every school we track: company-sponsored programs charge nothing upfront in exchange for a work commitment, and independent schools charge a flat tuition - typically $4,995 to $7,000 among schools we list.
